About the Foreign Exchange Reserves Report

In accordance with Section 40(d) of the Bank of Israel Law, the Monetary Committee publishes for the public a report on the types of currencies and securities of which the foreign exchange reserves are comprised as of the end of the year, to the extent that such reporting does not negatively impact the proper management of the reserves. The report is published within three months of the end of the year. The report, which includes tables and graphs, describes and analyzes developments in the management, liquidity, and balances of the foreign exchange reserves. The report provides the holding period rate of return and risk measurements of the reserves portfolio, as well as comparisons with other managed portfolios. The Market Operations Department (until 2007 the Foreign Currency Department) generally produced an annual report before the establishment of the Monetary Committee as well.
