• During the third quarter of 2017, the value of the public's financial assets portfolio increased by about NIS 46.8 billion (1.3 percent), to about NIS 3.54 trillion at the end of the quarter.
  • The increase in the portfolio value in the third quarter was mainly derived from an increase in the cash and deposits, tradable government bonds, and shares in Israel components. 
  • The value of the asset portfolio managed by institutional investors increased by about 3.1 percent (NIS 47 billion) in the third quarter of 2017, to about NIS 1.54 trillion. The increase was mainly a result of an increase in the government bonds, shares abroad, corporate bonds in Israel, loans in Israel and shares in Israel components, and was partly offset by a decline in makam.
  • In the third quarter of the year, there were net deposits in mutual funds totaling about NIS 4.1 billion, further to deposits in previous quarters.​
