-     During the second quarter of 2016, the value of the public's financial assets portfolio increased by about NIS 26 billion (compared with the balance at the end of the first quarter of the year), to about NIS 3.34 trillion at the end of the quarter.
 
-    Since the beginning of the year, there has been a decline of about 1.5 percentage points in the weight of tradable assets, further to the trend that began in the second quarter of 2015—a decline in the value of tradable assets totaling about NIS 132 billion (-7.4 percent) and of about 4.1 percentage points in their proportion of the total portfolio.
 
-    The increase in the portfolio value in the second quarter derived from an increase in cash and deposits and in government bonds, which was partially offset by a decline in the value of shares in Israel and makam.
 
-     The value of the asset portfolio managed by institutional investors increased by about 2.2 percent (NIS 30 billion) in the second quarter of 2016, to about NIS 1.4 trillion. The increase encompassed most components, mainly the value of government bonds and investments abroad, which were partly offset by a decline in the value of makam.
 
-     The trend of net withdrawals from mutual funds continued in the second quarter of 2016 (withdrawals of NIS 4.6 billion, 2.1 percent).
