Special study day for the public on the Reducing the Use of Cash Law, as bank limitations on checks will come into force on July 1, 2019
The Bank of Israel and the Israel Tax Authority held a study day today on the Reducing the Use of Cash Law, where the public was invited to hear how the law will affect every one of us, and how to properly use paper-based means of payment in view of the new law.
During the program, Bank of Israel and Israel Tax Authority representatives presented the main points of the law, and there was a question-and-answer panel where the representatives answered questions.
In addition, there is a new landing page on the Bank of Israel website where the public can obtain more information on the Reducing the Use of Cash Law (in Hebrew). The page provides a wide range of information on the significance of the law concerning the use of checks. The information provided on the page includes an explanation of the changes in depositing checks, questions and answers, and links to documents and important information (the law, the new structure of checks, and explanations).
