The Bank of Israel and its Governor received the notice from the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance stating that they intend to bring a decision for the government’s approval at its next session to extend the Governor’s appointment for an additional term.  Governor Yaron accepts the request to serve for an additional term, and will continue leading the Bank of Israel and working with all his strength and vigor both in Israel and abroad, together with all Bank of Israel employees, for the good of the Israeli economy.

Bank of Israel Governor Prof. Amir Yaron said, “I thank the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance for their decision and for their expression of trust in me and in the Bank of Israel.  We face many important tasks in the financial sphere, and I will do all that I can to successfully and professionally fulfill them for the good of the economy and of the country.”
