Cancellation of old banknotes

These banknotes are no longer eligible for exchange

On July 1st, 2000 the banknotes from the first series of the New Shekel shown below ceased to be legal tender:

Likewise, banknotes from previous series (the shekel and the lira) cannot be exchanged.
