The Bank of Israel hosting the Spring Plenary meeting of the G30 |

The Group of Thirty (the G30) has accepted the Bank of Israel’s invitation to host the Spring Plenary meeting in Israel. The G30, established in 1978, is an international body composed of senior representatives of the private and public sectors and academia. It aims to serve as a forum for discussions of international economic and financial issues. |
The meeting opens on the evening of Saturday, 24 May, with an address by Mr. Ehud Olmert, Prime Minister of Israel. On Sunday evening, 25 May, the President of Israel, Mr. Shimon Peres, will be the guest speaker. Other speakers who will address the meeting include the Minister of Finance Mr Ronnie Bar-On, and the Leader of the Likud Party Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu. |
Participants will discuss various economic topics, including the global economic shocks, reforms in supervision policy and in the financial sector in light of the global financial shocks, and developments in the Middle East. |
