- The balance of business sector debt continued to increase, by about NIS 41 billion (3.7 percent), mainly due to an increase in debt to banks.
- The balance of households’ housing debt also continued to increase, by about NIS 21 billion (4.3 percent), mainly due to an increase in the volume of new mortgages taken out by households from the banks.
- The balance of nonhousing debt increased in the first quarter, by about NIS 7 billion (3.3 percent), with about half the increase coming from institutional investors.
